Ease of Use

Stay away from them... just fancy marketing and no quality!
What where the positives?
Nothing, an easy to look interface but weak in functionalities. Standard reports are too basic, no real use.
Any negatives?
I'd have given 0 star if it was possible. This is the worse 3PL we've have ever experienced in US. Their platform on the appearance looks fancy but lacks enhanced reporting that you'd need to control stock movements... and if you ask them they want to charge you a special project to develop custom reports that they should offer for free to all clients on the platform. Everything that you ask the standard answer is... we need to charge for a special project. Their fee system is not transparent and hides the real cost you will pay, it seems affordable on the paper but after a while you realise that they increase your storage costs because their minimum fee is linked to the storage costs. We were sending pallets (single SKU) and they were unpalletizing the goods when not needed and placing them in X-Large bins that cost much more (the pallet cost when we joined was $25 that is quite reasonable for LA) but if they decide to spread your stock as they want it just brings an increase of storage costs and consequentially minimum charges. Their support reps are terrible. During COVID they hired a bunch of teenagers to manage the support and when you open tickets you get responses after 1 week... if not more. Most of the time they don't even understand what's the issue because they have zero experience and you waste your time with them. In the last period we had to call them all the time to try to get something moving. The worse is their VP of customer experience, Jessica Vischer, she should be fired immediately. I wrote her several emails during the last 6 months explaining that the situation was unsustainable and she never took the time to answer.
Summary
To me these guys are just good with their fancy marketing and have got good sales folks. The moment you start working with them you realise from their bills and their service that you've done a big mistake. Run away from them!

Bad Customer Service and Overall Management
What where the positives?
Okay website.
Any negatives?
While using Shipmonk, we were constantly receiving complaints from customers about wrong orders that eventually ran our business into the ground. One customer received over 500 pieces for what was supposed to be a small demo order (2 products).
Summary
Overall, we're very disappointed with how our business with Shipmonk was handled.

A Terrible Experience
What where the positives?
They were quick to get my store and inventory onboarded. After that it was all downhill.

Summary
This company is terrible. I have been with Shipmunk for about 1.5 years and here are just a few of the mishaps I had to deal with in the past few months. 1. Support tickets go answered for days, weeks, MONTHS then mysteriously get marked as Resolved when it is nowhere near resolved. I have to open another ticket to get my issue addressed, most of the time it’s multiple tickets because they never answer them. 2. Special Projects go ignored. I submitted a ticket for a Special Project which consisted of labeling items, repacking and shipping off to Amazon FBA. It went untouched for 2 MONTHS. When I followed up with Shipmunk regarding the status they ignored me and marked the project as Resolved. 3. I requested a wholesale order consisting of 3 pallets of product to be palletized and shipped to another warehouse. Their website clearly states wholesale orders will be ready to ship within 2 DAYS. Well after 10 DAYS of not hearing anything I followed up regarding the status and told them to ship this NOW! They provided me LTL freight quotes that were ridiculous. $492 for 3 pallets to travel 60 miles. I used my own freight forwarder and only paid $350. Do not use their freight forwarder quotes, just use your own. Then they charged me $192 to palletize 3 pallets of product! (Most 3PLs charge $10/pallet.) 4. I created 4 wholesale orders consisting of 1 master carton to be shipped and I provided them prepaid UPS labels. They completely disregarded my instructions and billed me for shipping! I opened up a case regarding this and asked to be reimbursed for the shipping charges because I provided them with PREPAID LABELS but they flat out said NO. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back. They also charged me $13.50 per carton to slap a label on it and put it out for UPS to pick up. (Most 3PLs charge $5 a carton.) 5. They charge you a 3.0% transaction fee every time they run your credit card to pay an invoice. It should be built into their price since it's an overhead expense and the cost of doing business. If they are going to force a 3% surcharge for paying with a credit card they should offer other payment methods without a surcharge. 6. Three times they contacted me and asked what I would like done with customer returns that were returned to their warehouse. I said they can ship them back to me and provided my address. I never received any product. Overall, if you are just shipping inventory to their warehouses to fulfill your Shopify orders they are okay. I haven’t had too many problems with that. But if you do any wholesale orders, LTL shipping or Amazon FBA then this place is a nightmare to deal with. They are SLOW, they disregard your instructions and do it their way and then charge you for it. They don’t respond to support tickets, they nickel and dime you to death, they are just flat out expensive and time consuming to deal with. I do not recommend Shipmonk to anybody who is serious about their e-commerce business.

You don't get the right service for what you paid for!
What where the positives?
The system is easy to use and navigate.
Any negatives?
As a user, I reach out to Shipmonk whenever packages are delayed or lost or when our customers complained that their packages were damaged, or they received an incorrect item, etc. I reach out to them so that they will handle the matter at hand, perhaps, file a claim to the shipping company if the shipping company is at fault. But what they do is just advise us to reach out to the shipping company! When you go to the shipping company's website to file a claim, there are a bunch of shipping details needed to fill out the claim form! All information needed is in Shipmonk! This is the very reason why we reach out to them when issues involving the shipping company arise. They also are very slow in responding whenever we file a claim or submit a ticket!
Summary
Very poor service
